LANDLORD-TENANT EVICTION PROCESS

1. Tenant is behind on rent? Thank you for choosing Soble PLC!
2. You must first share the Lease Agreement, along with an accurate payment ledger, with
us.
3. We send a 7-day Demand for Possession to the tenant, which provides seven days to
either pay the monies owed or be evicted from the premise.
4. If the tenant does not pay the amount owed within seven days, then we file a Complaint
for Possession of Property with the court.
5. The court will then schedule a Pre-Trial Hearing and Hearing (typically one week apart).
6. Be advised that once the Complaint is in the possession of the court, the timeline is
beyond our control.
7. During the Pre-Trial Hearing, the judge will request that the parties attempt to resolve the
matter amicably before evicting the tenant.
8. During the Trial, the judge essentially accounts for any attempted resolutions or
agreements between the parties and determines whether the tenant will be evicted and
property will then be in the possession of the landlord.
9. A signed Judgment will be rendered accordingly, and then an Order for Eviction must be
filed within 56 days to make the Judgment “official”.
10. Thereafter, the property is yours once more!
